Traverse 18 FAQs

Weekend of 26 and 27 May 2018

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Traverse 18 for?

Sessions are suitable for YouTubers, Instagrammers, bloggers, businesses, industry and agencies. If you are an influencer of any kind or have an interest in working with influencers, this is the event for you!

Is Traverse 18 a travel event?

The event has a travel ‘theme’, however the sessions are certainly not travel based. What we say is that Traverse is an event aimed at influencers and industry who have an interest in travel and working with that industry.

What does a ticket to Traverse 18 include?

Tickets to Traverse 18 are ‘all access’ this means you have access to the full conference, all of the main parties (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and midweek events (as long as they are not full).

Which ticket should I be purchasing?

We have two main ticket types, Influencer and Industry. Influencer tickets are for people who have a personal blog, YouTube channel or Instagram account and are attending for the reason of working on them. If you are attending for a business which is not a personal channel or website then you should be purchasing an industry ticket. We reserve the right to cancel tickets that we feel fall into the wrong category. A simple way to decide which ticket to buy is to ask if you’re paying or your company is, if it’s the latter, more often than not you should be under an industry ticket.

I am neither an influencer or industry but want to attend, which ticket shall I get?

We do realise some attendees don’t fall into either main category, if you’re unsure which ticket to purchase just get in touch and we’ll help out.

What do we do if we’re a small business, startup or charity and can’t justify the cost of several industry tickets?

Email us, we want to make sure Traverse 18 is accessible for everyone and we’ll always do our best to make sure you can attend.

I can’t attend Traverse 18 but have a ticket, what can I do?

Tickets for Traverse events are non-refundable but we do allow them to be transferred (with the exception of pre-sale tickets & only once). If you can’t attend and have someone to swap the ticket over to just let us know and we’ll process that for you, there is no additional or admin cost to this at all.

I can only make the weekend, is it still worth attending?

Absolutely! A founding principle of Traverse was that people who can’t or don’t want to take time off work won’t miss out. The weekend is when most of the sessions, workshops, classes and more happen as well as the main official parties!

Do you offer discounts for bulk purchases?

We don’t offer bulk discounts as a rule, but if you do have a group that would like to book together just drop us an email and we’ll see what we can do!

Do you offer day tickets for Traverse 18?

No, full Traverse tickets are already considerably cheaper than comparable events, even those that are only on for one day.

Is the event suitable for children?

This is an adults only event, however if you have a child that you need to be with or you have childcare that falls through, give us a shout and we’ll do all we can to help. Last year one of our directors spent Saturday lunchtime on babysitting duty, so we really do help where we can!

Can I bring a plus one to midweek or evening events?

We’re afraid that all parts of Traverse 18 are for ticket holders only. We have limited space and usually sell out, so it wouldn’t be fair to other ticket holders if we were to give away plus ones.

I want to promote Traverse, do you offer affiliate sales and/or discount codes?

Absolutely, just let us know if you’d like more information on this at all.

I would like to suggest a session or put myself forward as a speaker, can I do that?

We usually only ask for pitches for our mini sessions, but we do love to hear people’s ideas and have based many sessions on these in the past. The best bet is to email us if you’d like to share ideas or put someone forward for a session?
