The Traverse Creator Awards (TCAs) shortlist will be announced on the 12th April with the winners and award ceremony on the 8th June. 

Our expert judging panel for the TCAs is made up of the perfect mixture of talented content creators, leading and skilled professionals and those experienced in working with top influencers and content creators.

THE JUDGES

Tenacious, creative and a self-confessed grammar nerd, Amy has over a decade of experience in travel & lifestyle PR. She has spoken and moderated many panels and was named one of TTG’s Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders in 2013. She started her career in broadcast and has since created award winning campaigns for a host of tourism boards, tour operators, hotel groups, airlines and travel brands. Her huge network of travel industry and media contacts know her for a no nonsense approach and her constant search for ‘the story’. Always keen to stay ahead of the curve Amy has been working with travel bloggers and notable digital influencers to create meaningful campaigns for many years and she’s not afraid to challenge and discuss the evolution of the industry.

Matt Parry

Matt is a photographer and writer whose images and articles have been featured in leading travel and photography publications. He has presented videos on travel photography for Wex Photo Video's popular YouTube channel as well as run talks and workshops on the subject. He was the winner of the 2018 Outdoor Photographer of the Year's Travel category and is a regular finalist in other major competitions including Travel Photographer of the Year. Valentina has been working in Communication and Marketing for more than 20 years. She is currently the Head of Digital Content and Social Media for Trentino Marketing, the official tourist board of Trentino. She has also been a travel blogger herself since 2011: a peculiar combination of skills, competences and vision that brings a fresh and complete perspective to the digital content creation scene. She is an avid traveller, a crossfit maniac, a nature lover and mum of two boys with the wanderlust gene.

After graduating at the University of Verona, Chiara started working in the tourism industry more than 10 years ago. She began in the traditional communication field working closely with the European media and at the same time developing an interested for the digital communication. In recenvt years she has become strongly passionate about social media and technology, and specialises in digital communication strategies. She has made influencer marketing and digital PR her main field of action, thanks to which she has had the opportunity to collaborate closely with internationally renowned influencers, helping to redefine the digital image of the company where she works. She now also teaches influencer marketing in Milan, in a private University. Her motto is: "changes are opportunities"

Fiercely passionate about social media, digital communication and thinking differently. Anneka has over 8 years’ experience in social media and digital communications. She has worked in-house and agency-side, for a range of clients including The Spanish Tourist Board, Teletext Holidays, Alaska Seafood, Heathrow Express, Hasbro and British Gas. She now works as Associate Vice President of Digital at The Brighter Group, leading social media and digital strategy across Brighter’s global client list, ranging from all sectors of the travel industry including 15 destinations. Anneka has been a speaker on influencer marketing across the globe, and specialises in social media strategy, content marketing, online crisis comms and social media thought leadership. Anneka keeps her eye on digital innovation and ensures that strategy and creativity are combined across all her campaigns.

Steve Keenan

Steve Keenan has been a travel journalist for 25 years. Before that, he spent a decade as a news reporter in the UK and travelled: he taught English in Peru, delivered cars in the USA, ran the Sydney desk at AAP and took a train home from Hong Kong. He freelanced for several travel sections, including The Times of London, which he then joined in 2000 as deputy travel editor. He left 12 years later having become the first national digital travel editor in the UK, running the combined travel website of The Times and Sunday Times. He left to co-found Travel Perspective, a digital consulting company which runs the social media seminars at World Travel Market London, and helps the travel and tourism industry best communicate stories in all forms of publishing. He also grows flowers in Dorset.

Rich has been described as "a non-destructive vandal"; within the confines of a camera viewfinder he transforms and embellishes scenes with carefully crafted black paper cut-outs. Starting in London as hobby, it quickly got out of hand and became a career. Now Rich travels the world transforming the skyline around him from well known scenes like New York's Statue of Liberty and Hong Kong's Harbour to lesser known landscapes such as the vistas of Kiruna and Beach Huts in Ontario.
Justin is the founder of Campfire Creative, a London-based Production Company that crafts stories for brands across commercial, luxury travel and non-profit. With 15 years in the travel industry he’s been making a name for himself as a one-man band delivering imagery for Abercrombie as a travel photographer/filmmaker you’ll often catch him jet setting around the world on insta @justinweiler. He’s a content creating machine and loves the blend of motion & still photography.

Hannah Witton

Hannah is an award-winning vlogger with over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube. As well as her content breaking down taboo subjects such as sex, relationships, chronic illness and disability she also vlogs and travels. She's the co-host of the Banging Book Club podcast and in 2017 she released her debut book, "Doing It!" an educational and informative handbook for young people navigating sex and relationships.

Aleks is an Experience Designer, bringing the power of connected disciplines into design, research and team management. Being trained in Arts and Product Service Systems design is a combination that enables her to make any project, no matter the size, her playground by creating new methods, tools and approaches, frequently challenging the existing structures and status quo.

Over the last 10 years, she has worked both client and agency side and has led and successfully delivered (digital) experiences for companies like VISA, Lloyds, TSB, SKY, Aviva, VSO, GSK and British Airways. Aleks currently leads the Experience design team at Poke, her role being to drive experience excellence and human-centric approach to challenges, developing key client accounts and being an inspiring leader for the teams.

When not at work, she collaborates with a few UK universities, blogs about the connections between literature, art and design and spends time suspended in the air trying to become a pro at aerial arts.
