At Traverse we have always been passionate about the ability to create incredible photographs on your mobile phones.

Three Logo

Over the next month, we’re partnering with Three and Samsung to show exactly what can be done with the camera on the new Samsung Galaxy S9.

40 incredible content creators will be using the phone to capture incredible photographs and in August these will be on display to the public at the fantastic Herrick Gallery in Mayfair.

For those participating, we’re also running a series of fantastic workshops with some amazing photographers that we are lucky enough to be able to work with here at Traverse. These workshops will teach those attending a little more about mobile (and general) photography and enhance their skills when it comes to taking shots on a phone. The details of the workshops are at the bottom of this page.

All places on this campaign are now taken, we had hundreds of influencers apply and it was not easy to pick just 40 of them! However, we would love to encourage everyone that can make it to come and view the exhibition between 10am and 6pm on 1 and 2 August.

Aperture and Depth of Field Photography

09 July

Kim Leunberger

London Bridge, 6:30pm

In this workshop, Kim will focus on using the aperture on the phone at your advantage. Aperture is the ability of the lens to open and create a blur around the subject that you choose to focus on. It’s especially helpful if you want an object to stand out in your photograph, drawing the eye of the viewer onto it. The subject can be a wide variety of things. A person, a glass of wine, a lamppost or even a miniature car, being able to master it will create a beautiful atmosphere around your subject.
