Ultimate guide to KeyFrame 19

We can’t believe how quickly the time has flown – the inaugural KeyFrame is nearly here! We’ve compiled all the final information you might need for this four day conference for you.

Hamburg Locations

While we have a jam-packed schedule for you, we feel it is important that you make some time over the four days to explore the city and capture some great video. Check out some of the best locations to eat, drink, shoot timelapse, video walks and vlogs. To help you get around the city, you will receive a Hamburg Card, which offers you free travel and discounts on attractions. You’ll get this on Thursday 28 Feb in the first session that you attend or on 1 March if you’re not doing Thursday sessions.

Creative Sessions

Please make sure you check your emails for the confirmation we sent you of the Creative Sessions you signed up to on Thursday 28 February and Friday 1 March. On the Mid Week schedule online you will be able to see the exact meeting location for each creative session. Please make sure to click on each event and then click through to the dedicated page for that session to see the exact location.

If you are unsure of which Creative Sessions you’re signed up to, please do email us for clarification or ask on the KeyFrame Facebook event.

Weekend Sessions

You do not need to register to the weekend sessions. All sessions will be taking place in Mindspace, a wonderful co-working space in Hamburg. Please note, you do not need to book onto these sessions – simply turn up and once a session is full, it’s full! There are usually three sessions on at a time, so please do plan which you’d like to go to. We’ve also made sure there is plenty of time to network, for coffees, lunch and more.

If you fancy a break from sessions at any point, there is plenty of space to work on your video skills, catch up on emails or just relax. You’ll also be able to speak to the experts on hand as well as catch up with the KeyFrame partners at any point over Saturday and Sunday.

Clinics and drop in sessions

On the weekend schedule you will see that on both Saturday 2 March and Sunday 3 March there is a dedicated section for the ‘Speciality Clinics’ that will be running throughout the conference days.

These clinis will be run by the KeyFrame 19 speakers as well as further experts. They are a chance to ask some direct questions, as well as listen in on others who may be looking for similar advice.

The full schedule for the Speciality Clinics will be revealed on Saturday morning. All sessions are on run as drop-ins, with each timeslot dedicated to a few skills, tips and tricks.

Parties and evening events

With so much going on in the days, we believe it is very important to also have fun and let your hair down. We’ve got some wonderful evening events lined up for each day of KeyFrame, to allow you to unwind, relax and mingle with all the other wonderful attendees. The events are all listed on the KeyFrame schedule pages, it’s worth taking a look and making sure you are aware of the timings and locations.

KeyFrame Cinema – including the incredible prize

The last session of the KeyFrame conference will be the special KeyFrame Cinema. Here we’ll be showcasing some amazing videos that the KeyFrame attendees have made over the previous four days.

One creator will also win a very special prize bundle, including the brand new Samsung Galaxy S10, a year subscription to Epidemic Sound and Adobe Creative Cloud, a DJI Osmo Pocket, return flights to New York and a three night stay in a New York hotel AND two tickets to Traverse 19 in Trentino… Wow!

To enter this incredible competition, you must make a video based around your time in Hamburg and/or your KeyFrame experience:

  • Video to be over 25 seconds in length
  • Any style of video is eligible (vlog, cinematic, timelapse etc)
  • Videos will be played at the KeyFrame cinema session, Sunday 3 March @ 4.30pm
  • Judges will pick the winning video following the conclusion of the session

To submit:

  • Send a link to the video to us (info@traverse-events.com)
  • Video needs to be submitted by 3pm on Sunday, 3 March
  • This can be an unlisted YouTube link if the content is not yet published

If needed, the video can be a rough cut (not completed) as we are aware that some extra editing time may be needed before you feel comfortable publishing.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all to the amazing city of Hamburg.

Please note the Traverse team will be at the conference on all four days. If there is anything you need, don’t hesitate to ask one of us, drop us an email at info@traverse-events.com, or message us on Facebook or Twitter.
